Independence
JWR is an independent, international and non-political initiative. Recognition decisions are made without outside direction.

The Institution
Jewish World Records (JWR) is an independent global registry dedicated to identifying, researching, documenting and recognizing exceptional Jewish achievements, milestones, records and heritage.
Our Mission
JWR brings rigorous research and lasting recognition to achievements and historical records that deserve an accessible place in the global record.
They deserve a permanent place in history.
A Living Registry
JWR is a living registry. Publication records the best supported conclusion available at the time; it does not close the historical record to credible new information. Records may be updated when:
Clear Distinctions
Jewish identity, citizenship, birthplace, country represented and achievement location are separate concepts. JWR records and presents each one according to the evidence relevant to that fact, without treating one as proof of another.
Our Principles
JWR is an independent, international and non-political initiative. Recognition decisions are made without outside direction.
Every record must be supported by credible, traceable evidence and rigorous research before it can be recognized.
Payment, sponsorship or influence cannot secure a record. Recognition depends only on meeting JWR's standards.
JWR respects the breadth of Jewish identity, tradition, community and experience around the world.
Persecution, displacement, war, genocide and other Jewish historical trauma must be treated with seriousness and respect and not trivialized as entertainment.
Definitions, evidence and decisions should be clear, reviewable and open to correction when credible new information emerges.
JWR connects communities and generations through achievements and stories that strengthen knowledge, pride and inspiration.
JWR documents records and history independently and does not use recognition decisions to promote a political party, government or political position.

Founder
Founder, Jewish World Records
Guy Raveh was born on Kibbutz Lavi, Israel, and grew up in Kiryat Tivon. At the age of 12, he lived in Cairo, Egypt, and subsequently in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Upon returning to Israel from Boston, he lived in Timrat, a community settlement in Israel's Jezreel Valley, where his parents still live today. After the birth of his first son, Barak, he moved to Ramat Yishai, where he still lives today. He is the father of three children: Barak, Ela and Hadass.
Guy served as a combat soldier and commander in the Nahal Airborne Battalion of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and subsequently served in the military reserves.
Guy founded Jewish World Records because he believes extraordinary Jewish achievements deserve to be discovered, verified, recognized and preserved for future generations. His vision is to connect Jewish communities around the world and introduce younger generations to remarkable Jewish achievements and historical stories.
Institutional Integrity
JWR's verification decisions follow documented standards and include independent review. Submission or payment never guarantees recognition. Each published record is supported by an evidence file and a documented decision history, and credible new evidence may lead to correction, supersession or revocation.
Jewish World Records is an independent organization and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or acting on behalf of Guinness World Records or any other record-certification organization unless explicitly stated.
JWR is being developed as an independent international initiative. No claim is made here that a planned foundation has already been incorporated.
