Trust & Standards

Jewish World Records is built around accuracy, independence, transparency, evidence, corrections and responsible media use. This page is the entry point to what each of those means in practice — and where to read them.

What JWR Stands For

Six commitments that shape every decision

They apply to every record in the registry, whether it was researched by JWR or submitted from outside.

  • Accuracy

Each record states what was measured and how, so claims can be checked rather than repeated.

  • Independence

Recognition decisions are made without outside direction, and cannot be purchased.

  • Transparency

Definitions, evidence and decisions are meant to be clear, reviewable and accountable.

  • Evidence

Every recognition rests on documented, traceable sources — never on anecdote.

  • Corrections

Credible new information can correct, supersede or revoke a record, and the history is preserved.

  • Responsible Media Use

Images and video are used under their own rights and provenance, not simply because they are online.

Recognition cannot be purchased. Every published record is supported by an evidence file and stays open to correction when credible new information emerges.
