Record value

5 Olympic medals

Alexandre Lippmann built an unusually durable Olympic fencing career across sixteen years. At London 1908 he won gold with France in team épée and silver in the individual event. Returning at Antwerp 1920, he added another individual silver and a team bronze. At Paris 1924, aged 42, he won a second team épée gold. His five Olympic medals — two gold, two silver and one bronze — are the highest verified total in fencing by an eligible Jewish athlete under the JWR standard.
